Before launching your product
Some ingredients are novel foods, that is, they need authorisation before being marketed and can only be used if they are on the Union list (Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/2470), with their conditions of use and labelling. Astaxanthin is one example. Other ingredients are subject to national measures. The regulatory decision on your product is yours. If you have a doubt about a specific ingredient, ask us before launching.
